Slow-Cooked Tamale Casserole
I made a few adjustments to the recipe based on the other reviews. 1) Added onion to the ground beef; 2) Used taco seasoning instead of chili powder; 3) Used 1 c. milk and 1 c. cornmeal and didn't mix it in with the rest of the ingredients; 4) Added a can of black beans. I poured all ingredients (except the cornmeal/milk/egg mixture) into the slow cooker first. Then I layered the cornmeal mixture on top. I cooked on low setting instead of high setting for the time listed in the recipe. Turned out great! Definitely keeping this and making it often. Thanks!
