Beef Taco Skillet

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2009
I have been making this for years. It's always a big hit with guys, and it's super quick and easy. If you don't like soggy tortillas then this isn't for you, but personally that's my favorite part.

Wilted Spinach with Cherries and Goat Cheese

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2008
Very good. We ended up adding a touch of brown sugar because we felt like it needed something only we couldn't put our finger on what it was, but that's just personal preference. It seemed to go over well at Thanksgiving dinner, and I would make it again.

Slow Cooker Ham

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2008
This turned out really well. I added the juice from a jar of maraschino cherries because I like how it turns the ham a nice rosy color. All the brown sugar melted into the bottom of the slow cooker so I did turn it half way through. It turned out really moist, and I would definitely make this again.

Hot Chili Cheese Dip

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2008
This was pretty good. I ended up melting another block of cream cheese into it right before serving because it seemed too watery to us. The guys kept eating it, but noone commented on it so I probably won't be making it again.

Corn Dip II

After tasting this we decided it would be better hot so we threw it in the oven. It was good, but not exactly memorable. Everyone just thought it was 'okay'.

Mouth-Watering Stuffed Mushrooms

These were awesome! These didn't vanish as quickly as I thought they would. I actually had a bunch left over, but I LOVED them so it's definitely a 5 star recipe for me.

Best Tuna Casserole

Great basic comfort food. Probably the only dish that calls for condensed soup that doesn't bother me. Made the recipe as is except for adding some extra chips cause thats my favorite part.

Toasted Pumpkin Seeds

Great recipe! I have always hated pumpkin seeds until now. I forced my father who has also always hated them to try them, and he finished the whole pan. Good stuff.

Chinese Cabbage Salad I

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2008
Everyone loved this. I had to triple the recipe and cashews are super expensive so I substituted half the cashews for sunflower seeds. I also added sesame seeds for the heck of it. It was so good that even if cashews became free tomorrow I wouldn't do it any other way.

Cocktail Meatballs III

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2008
These were good. The men especially loved them. I personally don't think they would taste as good cheating with store bought meatballs because cooking the meatballs in the sauce is what flavors the sauce, and you wouldn't get the exact same effect from frozen/pre-cooked balls, but that's just my opinion. They tasted too "ketchupy" at first, but after 4 hours in the slow cooker they were really good.

These are my favorite cookies. I always leave off the nuts but I'm sure they would be just as good with.

Hot Fudge Ice Cream Bar Dessert

Reviewed: May 28, 2008
This was very good. Noone raved over it, but it was an older crowd. I think that it's a great recipe for a group of children. I didn't fool anyone into thinking I slaved over it. The first person who bit into it asked, "Is this just ice cream sandwiches with peanut butter inbetween them?" If I could review her I would give her a two.

This is such a cute idea! I thought my toddler would love it, but he just looked confused then started picking the sprinkles off. I'll be trying again though.

Creamy Spinach Tortellini

Somewhat bland, but still really good. Everyone kept adding salt to it at the table. I would make it again only I will add plenty of sea salt, garlic and probably use sun-dried tomatoes instead.

Onion Rice

Good simple side dish for an entree that has a lot of flavor. Not a stand out recipe, noone commented on it. I had to add salt, but that probably depends on the brand of chicken broth you use.
