I've been cooking for a husband who doesn't eat vegetables or anything with berry in it, and a son who doesn't eat anything red for four years now. It is challenging, but rewarding. Thankfully my ten-month-old seems to eat anything. Unfortunately that include a bite out of my recipe once.
My favorite things to cook
I love cooking lasagna for my husband. He loves his Italian food. We also eat a lot of enchiladas, grilled burgers and potatoes, and anything covered in sauce.
My favorite family cooking traditions
For Christmas we always have rice pudding with one almond in it. Whoever gets the almond gets a special gender neutral present.
My cooking triumphs
I once added a box of stove top stuffing to dress up some turkey meatballs. We eat them this way all the time now.
My cooking tragedies
When I fist started cooking I often mixed up baking soda and baking powder. Talk about flat and bitter cake.
