Very good! I used my pizza cutter to slice the tortillas and that worked really well. Thanks for the recipe!

This is a very good recipe. I will make it again. One of my guests, who has never eaten sweet potatoes or yams since childhood, tried and LOVED the dish.

Blue Cranberry Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2008
Absolutely fantastic! I will make this every year! I read every single review. Based on the number of suggestions to add sugar, I did. I used 1 c. of sugar rather than 1/2 c. I also used a 1/2 orange juice, 1/2 water combination rather than the 1 c. water. This was the best sauce EVER! Thank you!!

Triple Berry Crisp

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2008
Only had 2 sticks of butter so that is what I used. Extra stick was not missed. Next time I will add more fruit. Only used blackberries as that is all I had. Possibilities are endless. Would like to try this with peaches, blueberries and strawberries. This was berry berry good! :-)

Great recipe. I used dried cranberries and used a glaze made with confectioner's sugar and orange juice.

These are incredible! I blew my diet on this one. I will double the recipe next time because they were gone within 24 hours! I'd give this 10 stars if I could.

Dr. Bird Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2008
Taste was delicious! I used a bundt pan for this and I thought it would NEVER be done. After 65 minutes the top (really the bottom) of the cake was beginning to burn despite it being on a lower rack. I poked several holes with toothpicks in various parts of the cake which came out clean. Done, right? No. After the cake cooled I was disappointed to find the cake partially unbaked when I cut into it. I baked for another 20 minutes - for a total of 85 minutes and it was still the consistancy of very moist stuffing. I ended up cutting the unbaked part off because part of it was still edible. Kinda disappointing but to no fault of the author. I just won't use a bundt pan next time.

Banana Pancakes I

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2008
I thought these were tasty and so did my son. My husband and daughter didn't like them at all. The consistancy was a little weird. The outside would be very brown and the inside mushy. I loved the flavor. I did not like the texture.

Banana Oatmeal Cookie

this recipe was interesting. I followed the instructions without any alterations. The cookies were like mini-bread in texture. I didn't know whether to dip my cookies in milk or put butter on them like a slice of banana bread.

Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies II

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2008
Very good. I added my white and brown sugar to the "dry ingredients" bowl per instructions then read that the sugars were to be creamed with the butter and eggs. I re-bounded with a good cookie in the end. :-) I found the dough to be very sticky and hard to work with. I could handle it much better after putting it in the frig for a few minutes.

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2008
The flavor is absolutely delicious! I used a 4 pound chuck roast (realistically 3 pounds after removing the fat) which could have probably cooked longer. It was done but not fork-tender like I prefer after cooking for 8 hours. I'll try 9-10 next time. Since I prefer a thicker gravy, I'll also thicken at the end with flour. The whole family enjoyed this one. A+

Brown Sugar Meatloaf

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2008
Very good! I loved how compact the texture was. My usual recipe ends up very crumbly. Next time, I don't think I'll use as much brown sugar in the top (and I did use it on the top rather than the bottom) as it was too sweet. But, overall, a great recipe. Family liked it!
