These are the best biscuits! I make them exactly according to his instructions and they come out perfect every time. I have used them as regular biscuits with dinner, for strawberry shortcake, with jam, and just last night as the topping on a potpie. So great every time. I think the trick really is in not overkneading it. Thanks!

I just do not understand how people can completely change the recipe and then give it 5 stars. Unless you make it as is, I don't think you should rate the recipe. I have made this recipe many times AS IS and we love it every time! It is perfectly sweet and the apples are yummy wrapped in biscuit dough.
