This was very good. I used a butter cake mix. I add only 3/4 cup water rather that 1 cup to the apples. I sprinkled some lemonjuice and cinnamon onto the apples as well. I did not add the brown sugar - as I did not think the cake mx would need to be sweetened more. I added 2 eggs instead of the buttter to the cake mix, and I added some cinnamon and some slow cooking oats to the cake mix and sprinkled some on top of the cake. This was a lighter texture than a regular crisp - but still very good.
