Gourmet Sweet Potato Classic
Made this for Thanksgiving potluck. It was quite literally fantastic! None made it into leftovers, of which there were many others. It tasted like beautiful candy which complemented cranberry sauce with the turkey. It was a delightful combination.
I had less sweet potato than should be used so the sweetness was intensified, but utterly delightful. The taste fluctuated between the pecan, sugar, cinnamon and vanilla while being solidified by the heavier ingredients. The sweet potato accented the entire dish. I used locally grown, organic sweet potato so they were smaller than most of those in the store.
