I'm hooked on local food and try to use it whenever possible, which is usually only in the summer months here in eastern Ontario. It just tastes better! I love trying new things, especially gourmet dishes. And anything with seafood! Baking Christmas cookies, and making fabulous appetizers for New Years parties. The first time I made a huge family dinner (25+ people) and I survived - and everyone enjoyed the food! When I was about 11 years old, I decided I was going to make a rainbow cake, so I made a white cake from a mix and added all the food colouring I could find. Needless to say, my cake turned out an odd shade of purple, black and green! Not too appetizing...
