I've been married for 23 years and have 4 great kids, 1 fantastic daughter-in-law and the best little grandaughter that just turned one. I love to bake and when it comes to cooking, I'm willing to try almost any recipe but prefer simple comfort foods. Almost any and all desserts are by far my favorites. When it comes to cooking, my family loves mexican food and home made salsa and I enjoy experimenting with new recipes. I collect cookbooks of just about every kind. Hands down it's Christmas Baking! My nieces and nephews always place their order for their favorite things! The first time I made both a black forest cake and an egg nog cake for the holidays and they turned out exactly like the picture looked and tasted delicious! One Christmas that was hectic and felt rushed - salt was accidently put into the cookie batter instead of sugar. Yuck!
