About this Cook
I am still a young newlywed learning to cook for someone with a completely different upbringing than my own, but so far I think I am succeeding. The most important thing about cooking is to have fun. As soon as you are no longer having fun bad things happen.
My favorite things to cook
I love trying NEW things. My personal favorites are mexican dishes and casseroles. As for my husband he is a true meat and potatoes man. I have gotten creative with new ways to cook the same things for him.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Christmas is always a dinner of fresh clams, chowder, and city chicken. It is a bid odd, considering we have all lived in Michigan for our entire lives.
My cooking triumphs
I love compliments. Any time I make something and people love it I feel wonderful.
My cooking tragedies
It wasn't really my fault, but I made cornish game hens one night for dinner. My husband hated them and he ended up eating a bowl of canned soup.

Spicy Roasted Pumpkin Seeds
I also added some cayenne pepper. They were delicious and fresh from or "scary" pumpkin that we carved. Thanks for the recipe.

The Best Pesto Ever
Wonderful. I will make this again and again. I toasted the pine nuts before adding them. Besides that I didn't change a thing. I put it into individual containers so I could freeze it and have it to use later.
