About this Cook
I am currently a freshman in college, and I am working hard toward a career in nursing. I am definitely a family oriented person; I also love hanging out with my friends and playing guitar with my siblings.
My favorite things to cook
I love cooking anything and everything. For the most part, I make desserts because I know it's something everyone will try. I am also a fan of making foods everyone can share (cookies, salads, dips)
My favorite family cooking traditions
I have a few family recipes I enjoy making, usually around Christmastime, but we're all willing to try new things.
My cooking triumphs
I wouldn't say I have any personal triumphs, it's really all about the recipes, but I made a REALLY good butterscotch pie once...
My cooking tragedies
Everytime I try to make a custard dessert, it's a complete disaster.

Chicken Parmigiana
I made this for a Christmas Eve dinner for 9 people (including myself) and everyone loved it. It was nerve-wracking because my grandfather is a very picky eater, and I was so relieved when he asked to take home leftovers. Great recipe.

Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread
Soooo delcious. Everyone in my family devoured it last Christmas, and I sent it to many of my friends. It's best when it is fresh from the oven, spread with butter, and with a side of egg-nog!

Mediterranean Summer Tomatoes
Very simple to make. Very fresh and crisp tasting. Good recipe for summer picnics.
