Hot German Potato Salad III

Sweet and Spicy Sweet Potatoes

I did not care for these. I made them for thanksgiving according to the recipe and they were quite bland. The spices didn't seem to stick well to the potatos. No one else really cared for them either.

Jamie's Cranberry Spinach Salad

it's good, but the sauce and toppings are a little too much for the amount of spinach. I definitely had a lot of wasted stuff in the bottom of the bowl. Next time I'll cut back on the dressing and toppings.

Acorn Squash

Pretty good basic squash recipe. I'm not giving it five stars because it's probably more common sense on how to make squash than a real recipe :) I've definitely had better squash though, if you wanted to make a fancier recipe, you might enjoy it more.

Pumpkin Gingerbread

I have only made a few turkey recipes, but as soon as I found this one, I stopped looking. The turkey tastes so good and flavorful every time. Use fresh herbs to make it perfect.

French Baguettes

These are delicious if you make them right. It should note that most bread machines have proofing built into the dough cycle, so you dont' need to let the bread rise twice after taking it out of the machine. The first time I did this and the bread was ruined. The second time, I just shaped them and let them rise once out of the machine, and they are PERFECT. Easy, and good.

For such a simple recipe, this was phenominal. I had all the ingredients on hand, and it worked so good over rice. Add a veggie and that's a complete meal. YUM!

Clone of a Cinnabon

The best is right! These are delicious. Sinful, but delicious. I make mine half in the bread machine and half out, and the recipe worked perfectly. I did use half and half brown/white sugar, because I was out of brown, and I thought it tasted great, kind of carmelly. Also, I turned the cinnamon rolls upside down after taking them out of the oven, to cause the filling to run over the top, prior to icing them. That seems to add to the flavor.

This is pretty good. Like other reviewers noted, it's a little bland, but that's not necessarily a bad thing sometimes - if you are in a meat and potatos mood. Otherwise, you might want to spice it up. My only complaint is that you shouldn't add 1 cup of milk unless you like your potatos runny. It should say, add milk as needed. Next time I'll probably half the milk.

Onion Chicken in Balsamic Sauce

I gave this two stars because the sauce was just OK by itself - it was a little too sour with the vinegar. Served over pasta, it was not very good. It was like eating vingar flavored gravy over noodles. I probably won't make it again.
