About this Cook
Just a dad trying to do better for his family. We're recently Married, but she's been eating my cooking for awhile now. Got told to quit serving plain steamed broccoli, and have had good success with this web site.
My favorite things to cook
Ribs. I steam them all day in the oven, then grill them for that perfect texture that's not too soggy, but falling off the bone. I also enjoy cooking with beer. It gives meat dishes a great flavor.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Do microwave burritos count as a tradition? Just kidding. My mom makes awesome cloud cookies, which are liked a baked meringue, with chocolate chips, sometimes mint flavored.
My cooking triumphs
Coquille St. Jacques, crepes, awesome ribs, and zuccini bread.
My cooking tragedies
Apparently plain steamed broccoli.

Miracle Baking Powder Pie Crust
This was easy and flaky. I'll use it again.

Hot Cocoa Mix in a Jar
My wife and daughter make buckets of this stuff, put it in little jars with mini marshmallows, and gave it out for Christmas treats. I'd use more cocoa, though. a little milky for my taste.

Peanut Butter Easter Eggs
I took these to work at the University of Michigan, where I DID NOT call them 'buckeyes'. Everyone loved them.
