About this Cook
My name is Minna, I'm 25 and live in a little way outside of Youngstown Ohio with my mom and younger sister. I love baking and cooking but don't do either as often as I'd like. I spend a lot of time reading about both though. When i'm doing food related stuff i like to take pictures of pretty much anything (mostly nature though). You can check out my stuff here: http://www.waigni.blogspot.com/ just copy paste the link.
My favorite things to cook
I love making cookies, especially bar cookies and brownies (yum :)
My favorite family cooking traditions
No one in my family really cooks or bakes so it's something that I discovered on my own which means there aren't many traditions. I do remember my grandma almost always being in the kitchen making something but she passed away before i really got the chance to appreciate what that meant.
My cooking triumphs
Pulling off an entire Thanksgiving dinner by myself and having it actually turn out well.
My cooking tragedies
...I'll just call it a disastrous casserole.

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies
The overall cookie was excellent, the pudding made it very chewy. I like my chocolate chip cookies to be slightly salty to offset the sweet so if you're looking for that then this cookie is not for you. However, if you're a fan of sweet and chewy chocolate chip cookies then this is it!

Banana Oatmeal Cookies III
Excellent recipe! The nutmeg and cinnamon gave the cookies an interesting flavor depth and this cookie is mellow enough to add extras to, like dried fruit (i added cranberries). I'll be making this one again for sure.

Con Queso Spirals
This was a great recipe, i took it a step further and added diced tomatoes, green peppers and sliced black olives to the pasta before mixing in the cheese sauce, but that was only because i was eating it as a main course instead of a side dish.
