Ranch Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2009
I make a similar recipe only I use half the cheese (usually one of the shredded Italian cheese blends) half the ranch and instead of olives, I use diced cooked ham. I also recommend using real bacon pieces instead of bacon bits as bacon bits have a nasty after-taste.

Mini Cheesecakes III

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2009
These turned out great. I actually used a mini cupcake pan instead so I ended up with a lot more desert :) I topped mine with fresh sliced strawberries and it tasted fabulous.

Marshmallow Fondant

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2009
I don't know if I had problems with this because I used a mixer or what but it was impossible for me to roll this out to cover the cake... I had to use a lot of extra powdered sugar. It worked great to make details and mold things with a lot of powdered sugar on the hands and work surface though. I will try this again, but next time I won't use the mixer and see if that works.

Parmesan Chicken II

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2008
This was the best baked chicken I have ever made... the crunchy outside and moist inside was so great that I almost ate all of it myself. I followed other user suggestions and mixed one part parmesan cheese and one part Italian seasoned bread crumbs... I tried the recipe again this week with more cheese than breadcrumbs and it didn't have the crunch, so I think I'll stick to the half and half for next time :)

White Layer Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2008
I thought this cake turned out great. I actually doubled up the batter and used food coloring gel to tint one batch of the batter blue. I used a checkerboard cake pan I had for the center layers and decorated with some homemade icing. I think it turned out pretty well :)

French Onion Soup V

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2008
This recipe was great... the closest one I have found to restaurant style. I will definitely make this again :) My husband likes meat in his soup so I browned some beef chunks and added them in... makes for a perfect dinner.

Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2008
I am always on a quest to find great new pasta sauce recipes and this one fit the bill. I added some fresh steamed broccoli and grilled chicken to mine and used fresh minced garlic instead of garlic powder. Instead of using just shredded Parmesan, I used a mixture of shredded Parmesan, asagio, and mozarella. Served it over cheese tortellini and it was fabulous. I will definitely make this again :)

Chocolate Chip Kiss Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2007
I made these cookies for a few parties and gatherings and they were by far the favorite over all. I refrigerated the dough as suggested by someone else and they turned out perfectly. I also made half with regular hershey kisses and the other half with caramel hershey kiss. I also put some chocoloate chips in a plastic ziploc bag and placed it in a pot of boiling water for a minute or two. I then cut a small corner and used the chocolate to drizzle over the cookies. Just make sure you let the chocolate set before you put them in a container.
