Be prepared for this to boil over and smoking sugar dripping over and burning the bottom of your oven. Best to put a tray under or some foil underneath. We made this recipie as written and found that the sugar butter mix poured over the top crust was crunchy and kind of ruined the nice top crust; next time we didn't pour it over the top crust and we prefered the result. The top crust will stay flaky as it shoud be.

We all really liked these! They turned out perfectly! This was the first time we’d ever tried making these and I think they were even better than the ones we get at the fair. For whatever reason it had never occurred to me before to try making these at home, I was so happy to find something different for supper. We added some cream corn to the batter on a whim. It just seemed like a good idea and I was really pleased with the results. It added to the flavour and texture of our corn dogs. Thanks for sharing this recipe.

I was skeptical about serving turkey burgers to my guys but these were a surprise hit. Everyone really liked these and it was great to find something new. They were flavourful and had a good burger texture. Thanks for sharing this one!
