I've always been thrilled by the way a good meal brings together family and friends. I began learning to cook with my grandmother and mom, later went on to cook in the U.S. Army....if you ever feel like your "cooking for an army" believe me you have no idea. I live with my girlfriend and her two children and enjoy hosting get togethers with our friends. Anything as long as I'm in the kitchen or in front of the grill. My girlfriend and I would wake up on Saturday mornings and watch about 3 hours worth of cooking shows on PBS, and then plan a big dinner for Sunday. I was able to plan and prep for a themed party for about 35 people with just over 24 hours notice. I once cut off the tip of my thumb while slicing lettuce.
