About this Cook
Hi! I have been cooking and baking since the second grade when I bought my first cookbook. Ever since I was a little girl I have loved to create and share wonderful homemade treats with family and friends. My mom used to let me make dinners or homemade pizza for my family when I was in elementary and middle school. As I grew up every Christmas we made many wonderful cakes and cookies. While attending College I worked as a Nanny for an amazing family. I was fortunate to have learned many wonderful skills and recipes from them. With their encouragement my confidence and love of baking/cooking grew. During my time with them I learned how to make many unique creations. In the years that followed I have perfected my favorite recipes with the help of my wonderful family. I am now very lucky to share my love of cooking & baking with my children, niece, & nephews. My daughter Emma especially loves to help in the kitchen. I believe sharing my love of cooking & baking is a true gift.

Excellent Broccoli Cheese Soup
I used skim milk and cut down on the cheese. Also added a large chopped onion to the butter for more flavor. Next time I will add 2 onions for even more flavor. I added 4 chopped red potatoes and 2 cups of frozen chopped spinach to make it more of a hearty dinner soup. My husband and I loved it for dinner.

Slow-Cooked Flank Steak
This is such a great recipe. It was very easy too! I didn't use the green chilies but, it still turned out great. Next time I will try adding some beans to it before serving. The meat was tender and I only cooked it on low for 5 hours.
