Most days you can find me running around at the college racing from class to class or at home cooking dinner and spending time with my boyfriend. My life is getting through school and spending time with my family. Occasionally I enjoy a good book and a good movie, but I digress...lol!
My favorite things to cook
Hmmm....that's hard to say. I enjoy cooking many things, but my favorites are probably cookies at Christmas. Although, recently with school going full tilt, I haven't had much time during the holidays to really bake like I want. I also enjoy coming up with some of my own concoctions for weeknight dinners. My b/f has yet to eat something I've made that he DIDN'T like, so I think I'm doing ok. ;)
My favorite family cooking traditions
Well, I don't really have any cooking traditions from my family, except for annual birthday dinners. My mom always made a point to fix our favorite meal on our birthdays. Mine was ALWAYS her sloppy joes and her chocolate sheet cake. Still my two favorite things in the world. hehe!
My cooking triumphs
It took me YEARS to accomplish (and to be honest I don't know why it took so long) but I finally can make a sugar cookie that isn't hard as a rock or flavorless. It was the first recipe I ever tried as a child, and it was the last recipe I ever felt truly ecstatic about getting right.
My cooking tragedies
Umm....again I would have to say the sugar cookies. I had so many horrible batches of them...and god bless my father and brother, they ate them regardless of how bad they really were!
