Excellent recipe--but I made some changes based on personal preference. Only used about 1/4 c. sugar, increased macaroni to 3 cups (amount of dressing was still sufficient). I think the recipe as written is too wet for our taste--but, again, this is all personal preference. Used red onion for extra color and that worked great. I eye-balled the onion, pepper and celery--enough to make it pretty, but my kids don't like a lot of "stuff" in their macaroni salad. anyway---got rave reviews at a Memorial Day picnic--so it's a keeper. Thanks for sharing this recipe.
