I've been married to my DH, Andy for a little over a year and since then I've become more interested in cooking. I also love to bake cheesecakes! We live in a small apartment on the out-skirts of Omaha, NE. He's an electrician and I'm a Licensed Veterinary Technician. I love baking cheesecakes, other than that, baking isn't really my thing, unless I have a request. I enjoy cooking anything in the crockpot or oven. My MIL is teaching me to cook really well and with more patience. My grandmother is an amazing cook, but none of her recipes are written down. Cheesecakes! Who knew I could figure that out? My MIL told me to put butter on chicken to keep it moist during cooking. That's EXACTLY what she told me. So I smeared each chicken breast with butter BEFORE putting them on the grill. I had a fire. And very dark, crunchy chicken. Her instructions for me have gotten more detailed since then.
