I am a student at Geneva College and I live in a house in Beaver Falls, PA with 8 other people, most of whom are also students. It's policy at this house that we take it in turns to cook dinner. So I am up to bat for 9 people every two weeks! Thus far my meals have been successful, but I would like to continue to grow in my cooking skills.

My favorite family cooking traditions
My mom taught me to grill, so that is a strength of mine. I was taught a unique-to-Baltimore recipe for authentic crabcakes. All the fancy pants chefs the world over get it painfully wrong.

Enlightening friends in Minneapolis to the deliciousness that is Crabcakes with sufficient Old Bay.
My cooking tragedies
Scalding the cream in a corn chowder without realizing it and making all who consumed it, including myself, very ill.
