About this Cook
I am the proud mom of 6 yr old Lily. I work in law enforcement. I simply love to bake, and I am becoming very interested in trying new recipes and cooking new things.
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake. Cakes, cookies, coffee cakes, pies. The first recipe I made from here was October Apple Pie - try it, you'll love it!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Pecan Coffee Cake every Christmas morning. It's just not Christmas without it! My dad makes a mean Lebanese rice dish with pignolia nuts and lamb that we all crave at the Holidays.

Bread Pudding II
I used a 3 day old french baguette that I hadn't gotten to - it worked great and made for a very pretty finished product. I used extra bread and a deeper dish, so I upped the eggs to 6, and added an extra 1/2 cup of skim milk. It came out perfect. I wouldn't change a thing with this recipe. Don't be afraid to use stale/very dry bread - it turns out great!

Buffalo Chicken Dip
I used blue cheese since I don't think ranch is appropriate with buffalo chicken. I also followed the advice of getting a pre-cooked rotisserie chicken and it was a fantastic time and money saver (deli cooked whole chicken was $3.99, same whole uncooked chicken was around $7.00). I shredded the chicken and combined all ingredients on the stovetop until well blended and bubbling. I transferred it into a 9X9 glass dish and baked for 30 minutes. It was perfect!

Lemonade Pie III
Always a summer favorite - no need to change a thing. This time I used mini graham pie shells... made for individual servings.
