About this Cook
My cooking triumphs
Broccoli and artichoke tortellini salad -My husband was so happy with it, he brought some over to his parents to make them try it! He was bragging all day. :) Crab artichoke dip- Cream cheese based oven baked dip with red onion and tomato. Another husband favorite.
My cooking tragedies
I thought I would try a chicken casserole recipe from a low budget meal site aimed for students, and it was awful! We had plenty of leftovers, and has made me nervous of casseroles ever since! I guess the students who made that site didn't really know how to cook! Yuck!

Naan
Despite my few mix ups, this recipe turned out great! For me that is an indicator of a great recipe!!! I missed the cue to "proof" the yeast, so my dough didn't rise fully, and I didn't roll them out as thin as they should have been. They ended up being a bit thicker and chewier bread, but even still, very delicious! I added the garlic to the butter and brushed it on instead of kneading it in, and added a bit of sea salt. I also found medium low heat was best

Onion-Roasted Potatoes
This is one of those great recipes that tastes great and looks impressive for little effort. I find using regular russet potatos peeled and chopped tastes great too. (I'm sure any potato would do depending on what you like or have on hand)I found that this recipe called for a bit too much oil. Usually I like to add enough oil that all the potatos are lightly covered in the oil/onion mixture. Definitely a keeper.

Best Bread Machine Bread
The recipe is perfect! And for my first time using my bread machine, the bread was a big hit! Very simple, but very tasty. I had to bake on lighter setting than the normal one, it came out a bit to chewy the first time.
