To Die For Blueberry Muffins

These were delicious!!! I added a bit of lemon juice and tiny bit of zest (I think the flavor hightens the berries) on top of the berries (I used blue, red and black berries), before folding them in. I used cold butter diced small and the topping turned out perfect. Also I used brown rather than white sugar for the topping. Perfect!

Slow Cooker Orange Chicken

I was looking for a slow cooker orange chicken so decided to give this one a try inspite of the bad reviews. I made quite a few changes and it turned out wonderful (which is why the 4 stars). this is what I did: 1st, I seasoned the chicken with s&p, garlic powder and dusted in flour then deep fried till golden brown. Then I put drained chicken in crockpot with other ingred + 2 heaping Tablespoons of orangejuice concentrate and 1/2 cup of honey. When the meal was finished I placed the chicken under the broiler until a bit crispy then dusted in toasted sesame seeds. It turned out delish this way!!!

Maharaja Curry

outstanding dish. Simple to make and tastes like it took alot of effort. The only thing different I did was to add already grilled and diced chicken that I keep in my freezer for quick fixes. I also will not use the cayenne pepper next time (as it is NOT kid friendly)only a small pinch at most.

Shepherd's Pie VI

Great and easy recipe. I followed the advice of other reviews and added the worcestershire sauce. I also added 3 cloves of garlic and used a cup of left over brown gravy instead of broth and flour. I did not mash, rather diced my carrots for texture reasons. I also used onion powder since my husband does not like onion.

Baked Oatmeal I

I did not let this refrigerate overnight. I will try next time. Also I used jarred applesauce in place of oil. I added two chopped apples and some chopped walnuts as well. I also used vanilla milk in place of regular milk and added a small peice of cinnamon stick and removed it after baking. When this is finished my family adds tropical fruit and cream to the top (more of a desert for us). It is delicious this way!

Easy Spring Frittata

I gave this five stars because it is has perfect consistency and is a great base recipe. I like a tad more flavor. I added a couple dashes of hotsauce to the egg mixture and sprinkled fresh chives on top. It only cooked for about 15 minutes in my oven and took another 3-4 min for the cheese to melt on top.

Maple Sausage Skillet

This is a very good basic recipe for a yummy twist to polish sausage suppers. I added a clove of fresh garlic which accompanied the sweet flavor of the maple syrup. Cut the vegetables and sausage in same size large chunks and add served over rice with crusty bread. A good and hearty meal.

Shrimp Scampi III

Festive Turkey Meatballs

Tried this dish for a weeknight supper. It was great! I served it with simple basmati rice. I did make some additions however: 1 cl garlic to the meatballs and 2t onion powder (my husband will not eat onion). To the sauce I added 2T dijon mustard. It turned out perfectly.

Orzo and Rice

This was the perfect side dish for my salmon! I added 2 T chicken boullion and 1 clove of garlic. GREAT. Next time I will try toasted almonds for some crunch!

Swiss Chicken Casserole I

This recipe is a favorite in my home. I have made it different ways now. It is good just how it is. I have added both bacon and ham on top of chicken... before the cheese (delicious). Also I have used swiss, provolone and cheddar. Especially good with provolone! Cover dish for first half hour then uncover for last 25 min. I add fresh green beans or asparagus in a pile next to chicken, top it and cook the same. Easy meal and wonderful reviews from the fam!

Baked Oatmeal II

I have tried different baked oatmeal recipes and my family and I really enjoyed this one. I used blueberries like another review suggested. Also I used vanilla soy milk anddid not add extract. Also yummy with vanilla creamer bolthouse farms chai on top. This recipe is a keeper.
