I have been married for just over 2 yearS. I work full time and my husband is in med school. So our time for meals are limited. But I love cooking. I like making things that are new. I am on a kick where I don't make anything that I have made before. I have issues with sticking to recipes and tend to mix a few different ones together because I like certain parts of them.
My favorite things to cook
Anything quick and easy that tastes good. I don't eat red meat so I'm big on chicken, turkey, pork and veggie dishes.
My cooking triumphs
I do a lot of guess-timating of measurements and combining recipies and by some strange miracle they come out tasting really good.
My cooking tragedies
I learned the hard way that you don't skin a turkey before you cook it. It is nearly impossible. That would have been good to know before hand. It's a good thing my mom taught me how to cook after that. And it was just in time becuase I got married shortly after and now I have to cook for myself.
