I married my sweetheart last August. As a new wife and a new cook, I am working on building up my cooking skills. My ultimate goal is to get to the point where I can come up with a tasty meal off the top of my head instead of searching through cook books and the web for a half an hour for a recipie.
My favorite things to cook
My favorite things to cook are deserts. I love sweets!!! If I could, I would eat sweets for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
My favorite family cooking traditions
There are only two cooking traditions in my family. 1)For Thanksgiving, my mom always makes lime jello salad--it sounds gross, looks gross, but tastes soooo good!! 2)On Easter my mom makes carrot cake with a cream cheese and cocconut frosting--absoluetly the best!!!
My cooking triumphs
I make the best vanilla cupcakes and always use plenty of frosting. I always top my cupcakes with plenty of colorful sprinkles and display them on decorative cake stands.
My cooking tragedies
Any recipie that doesn't turn out "good enough to make again" is a tragedy in my opinion. Last week I attempted a chicken and linguini with creamy garlic sauce. It turned out so awful. I told my husband it wouldn't make me feel bad if he threw his dinner in the trash because quite frankly, I wanted to do the same.
