Linda's Lasagna
I had been searching for quite some time for a recipe like the one I used to use in the 70s. I was in high school and actually threw dinner parties for my friends and my specialty was lasagna - made from a fab recipe I got, I think, off the box of lasagna noodles. After trying several different recipes from this site, this is the WINNER. If it is not the exact same recipe I used 'back then,' it is very close. Very flavorful, cheesy and gets rave reviews every time. None of the other lasagna recipes I tried (and I tried several in advance of a big dinner party I was having) came even close -they were either bland or runny or both. This is the most like a lasagna you would get if you went to a good Italian restaurant.

Banana Coconut Loaf
I'd give this recipe ten stars if I could! I've been searching for THE perfect quick bread to make as holiday gifts - one that's as good as my old standby pumpkin bread which I've been making for years. I've tried several from this site, but this is the winner! I have rigorous testing standards. ;) The bread has to be SO good and moist that it's delicious with NOTHING on it - no butter, no cream cheese - NOTHING. This one passed the test with flying colors - I made one loaf in the evening and it didn't last past lunchtime the next day. My husband singlehandedly ate just about the entire loaf. I didn't change a thing and will make it just as the recipe calls the next time I make it - I would have ALREADY made more but I'm waiting for my bananas to ripen! ;)
