i was a cook for restuarants in louisiana as well as waited tables all my life and EVEN THOUGH i am now handicapped now i still love to cook!
My cooking tragedies
A ROUX! for years i thought when u added the water to the flour and oil mixture it would automatically be gravy.i'd get so annoyed-i'd throw pot roux out the door-REALLY.then one day i was making a roux and i added the water and the phone rang (before cordlesses and cells)i forgot about it for about 10 minutes and when i came back -i had ROUX! that was 1979!lol
