Egg and Cheese Puffs

Easy and delicious. Made with ham to cut down on the fat. Have taken to several gatherings, and never have leftovers. Nice for potlucks because they're already portioned out.

Canned Apple Pie Filling

Wonderful flavor. I made two batches, and the second batch came out better because I really packed the apples in the jars. The first batch I didn't do that so the sauce-to-fruit ratio was waaay off. Rather than use those to make a pie, I just poured some of the excess sauce off when I opened the jar, and warmed the apples in a skillet with a little butter. Yummy! A happy mistake, fabulous with baked ham. If the sauce thickens too much to easily cover the apples in the jars, add a little water until it loosens a bit and it'll pour right over.

Rachel's Tomato Basil Soup

Used home-canned tomatoes and basil from my garden. This was the best homemade tomato soup I've ever made. Easy, too. Even my daughter, who doesn't like tomato soup, ate it all up!

Cherry Pie II

Easy, pretty, very tasty. Picked my own cherries at a local orchard. Next time I will up the amount of sugar as the cherries I picked were a bit tart.

Black Forest Cake I

Strawberry Coffee Cake

Very easy, really yummy. I doubled the ingredients for a 9X13 pan, but used applesauce instead of butter for the cake--delicious! For the topping, I doubled all ingredients but the butter (only used 3 Tbsp) and it still turned out wonderfully. My company loved it!

Tiramisu Layer Cake

Yummy! Used rum instead of kahlua, and mixed some instant coffee into it to make my own coffee liqueur. Maybe next time use white cake from scratch instead of boxed--good flavor, just a really fluffy texture.

Vegetarian Korma

Really wonderful flavor--used ground almonds in place of cashews. Added fresh cauliflower. Next time I'll pre-cook the carrots. Used evap milk in place of the cream to cut down calories. Great recipe.
