Pretty great recipe to start with... I took some ideas from many of the posters. I subbed chicken broth for the water, about two hours before serving I added fresh carrots and hour before added a bag of frozen peas; I used one can of dough- MORE THAN ENOUGH and 30 minutes cooking time was not enough- took the out of the the pot and broiled the dough in the oven. We all liked this dish but really didn't like the dumplings...I think it was the texture.
