CINfully Delicious Chocolate Cupcakes

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2012
I made these before the recipe was officially published and am so happy to see them as a kitchen approved recipe! 10 star recipe! The cake has the perfect balance of cinnamon/chocolate and sprinkling the tops with cinnamon sugar before baking is genius. The frosting? To die for. I think I added a bit more cinnamon and cocoa than called for because I wasn't paying attention, but it's divine regardless. Thanks LTH!!!

Such a unique idea! I never would have thought of this. These really are yummy! I saw these mentioned on The Buzz and knew I had to make them for my hubby, who loves Flamin Hot Cheetos. Thanks, Caroline! :)

Spiced Sweet Roasted Red Pepper Hummus

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2012
Very good! I cut down on the cayenne a little since I'm a wimp, but otherwise followed the recipe (well, except for serving at room temperature because that's just not my preference). Thanks!!

Kevin's Sausage Dip

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2012
This stuff is just plain good! I've had this recipe in my box for 3 years and have made similar recipes, but never this one. The only thing I changed was that I used 1 pound of spicy pork sausage and no regular ground pork because that's what I had in my freezer. Soooo good with tostitos or Ruffles; a perfect dip for football Sunday! Thanks :)

Sauerkraut and Smokies

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2012
Good! My husband loves sauerkraut and anything involving sausage so this was right up his alley. I didn't have any apple juice, but I think that would have made it too sweet for his tastes anyway. Thanks! :)

White Chocolate Macadamia Cranberry Dreams

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2012
Yummy! I halved the recipe, but somehow ended up adding the full amount of white chocolate, so they were quite chunky! So good though. I used egg replacer powder because I was making these for some of my family that don't eat eggs and they turned out great. Thanks!!

Chocolate Covered Potato Chips

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2012
Good stuff! I've always been a huge fan of the sweet/salty combo, so these were right up my alley. I only dipped half the chip just to make it a little easier on myself since I was in a rush. Thanks :)

Perfect! My dogs love these. I also packaged them up for the holidays to give away and got lots of rave reviews from other dog owners. I'll make again. Thanks :)

Boardwalk Quality Maple Walnut Fudge

WOW! This fudge is amazing! The flavor is perfect. The only change I made was to only use 1 cup of walnuts and that was perfect for me. I will make again and again. Thanks SHORECOOK! :)

Christmas Turtle Candies

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2011
Admittedly, I did not use storebought caramels because I was scared of them turning rockhard like others noted. I used the Caramels recipe off this site and it worked out wonderfully. I used the semisweet chips called for for half the batch, chocolate almond bark for the the half. Gotta say that I preferred the almond bark coating on these. Thanks! :)

Dark Chocolate Cherry Fudge

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2011
Yum! Followed the recipe until I got to the part where I was supposed to add the cherries... tore through my cabinets looking for them before realizing that I must not have bought them in the first place. I did have dried cranberries though, so added those instead and it worked very well. Very tasty. Thanks :)

Layered Peppermint Bark

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2011
Yum! I was a little preoccupied while making this, so I missed the part where I was only supposed to put 1/2 the white chocolate on the bottom, so I ended up with the full amount of white on the bottom and another smaller layer on the top. I omitted the heavy cream because I was out and it turned out tasty anyway. Thanks! :)

Very nice, delicately flavored cookies. The only thing I did differently was to use a small cookie cutter on them, just to make them a little more festive. Thanks :)

Great recipe! My furry kids loved these. Only change I made was to use evaporated milk and that was just because I had a tiny bit that needed to be used up. I'll make again and again. Thanks! :)

Caramels

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2011
These taste soooo good! This recipe is really quite simple to execute, assuming that your candy thermometer actually works (grrrr). Comparing homemade caramels to storebought is like apples and oranges; there's no doubt that homemade is amazing and well worth the time and effort. I made 2 batches... the first one I used the full cup of butter and found them to be a little overly buttery/greasy. The second batch I cut the butter down by 1/4 cup and found them to be just right. Thanks! :)

Firecrackers

Such a unique idea! I never would have thought of this. These really are yummy! They don't look all that appetizing because the chocolate turns a lovely Pepto Bismol color, but they rock. I saw these mentioned on The Buzz and knew I had to make them for my hubby, who loves Flamin Hot Cheetos. Thanks, Caroline! :)

Ranch Pretzels and Goldfish

Yum! Everyone loved this. I used Cheez-Its instead of the Goldfish and skipped the lemon pepper out of preference. The butter-flavored oil is what takes this stuff over the top. Thanks!!! :)

Maple Cream Cheese Frosting

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2011
Excellent! This frosting is so good! I used it as a filling for Pumpkin Whoopie Pies from this site and it worked very well. I halved the recipe and only used about 1-1/2 cups or so of sugar and it was just sweet enough. Yum. Thanks!

Pumpkin Whoopie Pies

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2011
Wow, so good! Admittedly, I did not use the given filling... found a recipe on this site for Maple Cream Cheese frosting and thought it would be amazing with the pumpkin. Yep, it was a match made in heaven. These baked up very nicely and the taste and texture is great. I think they taste amazing right out of the fridge. Thanks! :)
