Ham and Cheese Puffs

I used the pie crust IV recipe from the site instead of crescent dough. I rolled out to about half an inch thickness, cut circles out of the dough with a circle shaped cookie cutter, and placed them into regular sized muffin tins (they looked like mini pies). I baked at 350 for approx 25 minutes until lightly browned. My boyfriend and his sis devoured them all in less than a day... I made 16 of them!

Creamed Eggs on Toast

I have never tasted anything quite like this before, but I loved it. Since I don't use bouillon, I replaced it with hot water, and some preferred spices (salt, pepper, and onion powder). I thought it came out wonderfully and pleasant. I can definitely see myself making this again... my boyfriend loved it too =o)

Portobello Pot Pie

Delicious. There was too much filling, but it didn't matter because I had devoured the extra filling before the pie was even ready. As always, I use my trusty pie crust recipe from this site (pie crust IV). This recipe is definitely a keeper.

Caramelized Brussels Sprouts with Pistachios

these were fabulous... I used regular onions and cut the recipe down to about a third of the size (it was just me and my boyfriend eating). The only thing I would change the next time I make this is to break up the leaves, or even just cut the brussel sprouts in half. The middle did get a bit tender, but with not that much flavor. Opening the sprouts up will allow some of the delicious flavor to get to the center.

The flavor of these were incredible. It is important to keep the dough as cold as possible though. If you don't, the cookies will spread to unrecognizable shapes. I froze my cutouts before putting them in the oven. They still spread, but not so much that I couldn't decorate them.

Viennese Crescent Holiday Cookies

These were absolutely wonderful. Be careful when handling though, they break VERY easily. I dipped in melted chocolate and a few broke before I could place them back on the tray. If you are careful, you should be fine. I also sprinkled with confectioners sugar. Phenomenal.

Coconut Macaroons German Style

This recipe was PERFECT. Everyone who tried them was overly impressed with how soft and chewy they turned out. I dipped them in melted chocolate and sprinkled with some coconut flakes. Beautiful presentation, moist and flavorful... I can't ask for a more perfect coconut macaroon recipe =o).

Grandma's Lemon Meringue Pie

This pie was fantastic and super easy to make! I like how nothing was wasted (I hate making meringue and having to throw out the yolks, or making something that calls for yolks and having to throw away the whites). I made my own crust from my favorite pie crust recipe on this site (pie crust IV) and baked it in the oven until it was lightly browned. My best friends loved it!

Three Cheese Manicotti

These were FANTASTIC! I made these for New Years Eve and they were devoured so fast I didn't know what happened. I made my own sauce based on the spaghetti sauce and meatball recipe from this site, and spread a thick layer beneath the manicotti, then I placed the manicotti neatly one by one in my dish, and covered with a nice thick layer of sauce. I then shred MORE mozzarella chese over the top and also sprinkles some freshly shredded parmesan over the top. AMAZING!!!

My boyfriend went crazy over these! I made a batch to bring to work, and there were still a bunch left over... he hoarded the rest and refused to let them out of his sight until he ate them all! =oP

Unfortunately these were not received as well as I thought. I had complaints that they were too sticky and overly sweet, and the next day after they were refrigerated, I was told that they were slimy. Don't think I will be making these again.

Italian Spaghetti Sauce with Meatballs

Oh my god oh my god oh my god! The spaghetti sauce is I.N.C.R.E.D.I.B.L.E. I make my own marinara sauces all the time (way healthier and way better tasting than the bottled ones), and this one outshines them all! I plan on sticking to this one from now on... in lasagnas, on pizza, on pasta... amazing! Since I'm a vegetarian I don't have my own opinion on the meatballs, but my boyfriend devoured them quickly and said they tasted great... so I'm definitely giving this recipe 5 stars... and I would give the sauce 10 stars if I could! Thanks for the delicious recipe Jeremy!!!

Pavlova Deluxe

This recipe was AMAZING. My boyfriend and his family devoured this and commented on how light and delicious it was. Since I didn't have cream of tartar I subbed extra vinegar (3/8 teaspoon instead of 1/8 teaspoon of cream of tartar... the substituation is always replace cream of tartar with 3 times the measurement of vinegar or lemon juice). Everything turned out wonderfully. I used Mango, kiwi, and canned pears. Great recipe!!!

Crustless Cranberry Pie

I actually made this pie with a crust... and it got insanely good reviews. At first I thought it would be too heavy, but from what I was told... the crust was the best part... well, almost. The pie itself was scrumptious. It needed to be in the oven a bit longer than the recipe stated, but that might just be because of the crust. I kept it in for an hour, and it was still somewhat underdone. That's ok though, cuz over here, we like our pastries extra chewy. My boyfriend's mom sent him back home with a bag of cranberries so I can make another pie! Talk about a hit!

Restaurant-Style Potato Skins

I used sliced Muenster cheese. I sliced ham into small pieces and fried instead of using bacon. My boyfriend STILL can't stop talking about them... these will DEFINITELY be made again!

Apple Strudel Muffins

These were absolutely wonderful! I followed another reviewer's suggestions and shredded a cup of apples. I still used a half a cup of chopped apples, and it was the perfect amount of both. The shredded apples gave it great texture and made it so moist you could drown in it. I also added 1 tsp cinnamon and 1/2 tsp nutmeg for a bit more flavor. My boyfriend couldn't stop raving. Thanks for the great recipe!!!

I found it to be a little strong in flavor, but delicious anyway. Next time I will try to add a little Greek yogurt to the mix. I think that might make the flavor a little less strong and add some creaminess to it.

Pesto Cream Sauce

Delicious! I didn't have any shrimp or mushrooms, so I made the pasta with just the cream sauce, and it turned out wonderfully. The only thing I did change is that I added an extra tablespoon of flower. After mixing in the Pesto, I felt that the sauce was still too thin, and I didn't think it would stick well to the pasta. After I added the flower, I let it simmer for an extra 5 minutes and it was perfect. Adding the pasta helped too because the starch from the pasta made it a bit less liquidy as well. Great recipe!

Garlicky Baked Butternut Squash

I can't get over how amazing this recipe turned out. It was bursting with flavor and was just the right texture. I doubled the garlic and the parsley, and added a drop more olive oil to the mixture. I also grated Romano cheese over it before baking, and kept it in for a full 55 minutes. I will make this over and over again and not change a thing... well, I may just have to try it with different vegetables from the squash family... I'm thinking pumpkin next. This recipe is DEFINITELY a keeper, and a must for my Thanksgiving meal this year.
