'Out of Salad Dressing' Salad Dressing
Great! I wasn't expecting it to be any good, but have been craving a creamy dressing. Used fresh garlic instead of powder, and used 1/2 & 1/2 instead of milk, with a dash of olive oil and pepper for extra flavor. A little thin but very tasty, like a super super simple Ceaser dressing! I love that there are so many options for adjustment and experimentation. Have plans to try adding anchovies to make it more Ceaser-y, or maybe olives and feta for a greek style, and there are so many possibilities. A great, simple dressing by itself, or open to so many other ideas.

Beer Cheese Soup II
I don't really follow recipes, but I used this as a jumping off point for a soup appetizer and it worked out great! I even made a smaller pot for myself for lunch the next day (except with some old cheap wine I had left in the fridge), and it worked great. Used flour and butter to make a rue to thicken it, because it's what I had on hand, and a mixture of sharp and mild cheddar to keep away some of the bitterness of sharp. Very good.

Oyster Stew
Very good. I didn't completely follow the exact recipe because i was just making a small pot for myself; it came out fantastic! Also threw in a little bit of Heavy Cream (just because i had it on me) and a splash of Adobo spices. Plus, I did use canned oysters. Fresh aren't that easy to get here.
