Chicken Breasts with Balsamic Vinegar and Garlic

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2009
My husband and I loved this recipe. After reading some reviews I omitted the flour. We're also not big fans of thyme so I used some dried dill instead. It came out great, I'm definitely adding this to my recipe files.

Chicken Noodle Stir-Fry

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2009
This was really good! I did make a few changes. I used a bag of frozen stir fry vegetables instead of the fresh vegetables. I also added half a brick of extra firm tofu (about 7 oz) cut into cubes. Then I added about a tablespoon of sesame seeds.

Hearty Split Pea Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2009
This recipe was AMAZING. I did it a little differently, I used hotdogs instead of ham because that's just how some jewish people do it since traditionally we don't eat ham. I also added a diced potato. Also, if you use boars head hot dogs and certain types of swanson chicken broth this recipe is gluten free. I had a friend over for dinner with a gluten allergy and she was able to eat this. I definitely will be making this again.

Cream Cheese Frosting II

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2008
This was really good! The recommended amount of confectioners sugar was too sweet for my taste. I made 2 batches of this frosting and reduced the sugar in half for the next batch. It was so much better! I also used tofu imitation cream cheese for one of my batches because a few people in my family are lactose intolerant and the frosting still came out delicious.

Potato Pancakes I

These latkes were awesome! I shredded everything in my cuisinart, so easy! I followed this recipe exactly except for the addition of about 1/2 tsp of nutmeg. It adds a nice flavor

Fluffy Peanut Butter Frosting

Reviewed: Aug. 5, 2008
This was a really great recipe, I made it just as described but I think I need one more tablespoon of milk. I poured it over a bundt cake so I heated a bowl of the icing in the microwave for 15-20 seconds and then poured it over the bundt, it looked and tasted fabulous.

Baked Teriyaki Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2008
This was really good although I did things a little differently. First of all, I don't like my teriyaki so sweet so next time I might use a little less sugar. Second of all, I wanted more of a stir fry so I cooked the chicken first, cut it up in to pieces and then made the sauce as directed. I put the pieces of chicken, some mushrooms, a bag of stir fry vegetables (thawed), and some cooked brown rice in the pan and simmered covered for 10 minutes. It was a hit!

Italian Sausage, Peppers, and Onions

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2008
This was really good. Like another reviewer suggested I used beer instead of white wine. I also only used 1 yellow onion and there was more than enough. This definitely is not enough for 6 people, 1 sausage link per person is not enough! If you're cooking for 6 I would double the recipe.

Nutella ™ Cheesecake

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2008
I was a little skeptical because this was a no bake recipe but it came out really good! I used a tofu imitation cream cheese spread b/c I am lactose intolerant and it came out almost like a pudding pie. Everyone really liked it.

Passover Chocolate Mandelbrot

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2008
this just came out of the oven and I couldn't help but take a taste, it was as good as all the other reviewers say it is. I took the advice of the others and took out the bread at 35 minutes, let it cool, sliced it, and then sprinkled the cinnamon & sugar. Then I put the bread back in the oven for a few minutes. I can't wait for my guests to try it, thanks!

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2008
This recipe was great but I did make a few small changes. Like others suggested I did brush my bottom pie crust with egg white and bake for 5 minutes. I also added 1 potato cut into cubes because I thought pot pie should have potato in it. Last, I added onion salt, garlic and pepper to the raw chicken and also to the flour mixture. It was a little time consuming but my fiance LOVED this one.

Easy Pesto

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2008
This recipe was awesome. The only change I would make is keep the oven at a lower temperature and watch your nuts! They definitely don't take 10 minutes to toast, I had to throw the first batch out because they burned on me. I also used one clove of garlic, I thought 3 would be a little overboard.

This was an excellent recipe. I made it for a dip party and all the dips were judged and this dip won! I can't wait to make it for Thanksgiving. Thanks for sharing!

Slow Cooker Sausage with Sauce

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2007
This recipe was great! I was going for more of a sausage and peppers recipe so I added an extra pepper, and I used red peppers, not green. I did boil the sausage beforehand and everything was excellent. I'm adding this one to the recipe book.

this recipe was great. I made it for a bbq and I got plenty of compliments. I used less onions than the recipe called for
