About this Cook
I have a catering business with my mother - in - law. We bake cookies for people at Christmas time.
My favorite things to cook
I enjoy baking and trying new recipes out on my family.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I bake a variety of cookies every year at Christmas and all of my co workers get a gift of cookies at our Christmas party.
My cooking triumphs
In our catering business we have to be able to cook for 100's and have it be tasty and served hot. We have had many compliments on our catered events over the years. We keep it fairly simple but delicious.
My cooking tragedies
I have had several. As I said, I enjoy trying new recipes out. Some are great, others not so great. That's how we learn and get better with age.

Cookie Balls
We make these at Christmas and they are delish!!! We dip them a little differently. We do put them in the freezer for a bit and then we put a toothpick in the center and dip it leaving a hole in the top center that shows the filling. It's like we dip "buckeyes" in our area. (Peanut Butter Balls) I have submitted a photo of ours for you to see. These are very popular and easy!!

Slow Cooker Italian Beef for Sandwiches
I make this all the time. It's wonderful. I melt some butter and garlic powder and paint some on the rolls and stick them under the broiler. Then I add the beef to the buns and have a small bowl of the sauce for dipping my sandwich!!! Yummo!!

Apple Crisp II
I followed the directions to the tee and I found this a bit watery. The flavor was good, but I would omit the water in the future.
