Blueberry Crisp II

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2009
I was disappointed in this recipe. The ratings were good and so I made one for dinner. I found it quite dry and with little taste. It was salvaged by warming it up and serving with vanilla ice cream. This is a first for me on this site. Will not make this desert again.

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2009
Absolutely delicious. I have made a lot of muffins in 45years, but this one is one of the best in my opinion. I added one and half cup fresh blueberries and cinnamon in my batter as well as the topping. I made 12 large muffins, instead of the jumbos, and cooked them at 350F for 30min and they were perfect. Thank you Colleen. Wonderful recipe Kamal

Brown Sugar Biscuits

I have not made these cookies, but the women in our family used to make these from left over dough after the pies were done. It stems back many generations and in french families, they are called "pete de soeur". Delicious.

Baked Garlic Parmesan Chicken

This is quite a nice parmesan chicken. We added a bit a dash and extra garlic as to our taste. It is easy to make, and comes out tender and delicious every time. It is easily a five star meal. Thanks for sharing Paula Kamal

This is a wonderful dish. I added 1 tbsp crushed garlic and oregano. I also added green and red peppers and 1/2 cup broccoli florets. I had a mixture of green and white onions. The recipe is wonderful and adding your personal favorites depends on taste. It is a definite five star and will be one of our regular meals.

It is exactly like the one I make. It is delicious. The only ingredient I add is a bit of garlic. Excellent.

Dietetic Banana Nut Muffins

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2009
These were the lightest muffins I have ever made, and I have made many. I omitted the apple sauce and added one egg instead of two egg whites since I had none available. They were absolutely delicious and very healthy. Definitely a five star keeper.

Slow Cooker Chicken Cacciatore

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2009
This meal was delicious and enjoyed by all members of my family. I had four boneless chicken breast. I did however add basil, oregano, dash and a little more garlic. I also added a can of tomato paste and 1/2 cup tomato juice. I cooked it for 1 hour on high and 4 hours on low. It was perfect. A great recipe with a few alterations for our taste. A keeper. Thank you for sharing.

Italian Spaghetti Sauce with Meatballs

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2008
I added this to my recipe box for when I am in a bit of a rush. I have not tried it, but it is pretty obvious to anyone who prides themselves on their cooking abilities and by the ingredients involved, that this would be quite nice. Whatever herbs or spices I choose to add is simply a matter of taste. Thanks for sharing this recipe. The four star comes from not having tried it yet, but I'm sure I will in the near future.

Simply Parmesan Chicken

This chicken is a keeper. It is moist and tasty. I did however, add dash and extra garlic powder to my bread crumbs. I used fresh parmesan cheese and not the canned cheese. It is now a favorite and will make it again. My family loved it and I have two very good cooks to impress.

Absolutely delicious. The ladies I served it to are experts in appetizers and were impressed with the flavor of this spread. The possibily of different presentation for this recipe are endless. The flavor is perfect just the way it is. We have adopted this one as a favorite for our regular get together and I will surely make it again. Thanks for introducing a new addition to our regular appetizer menu.

Creamy Chicken on Linguine

This is a delicious meal. I have been making somewhat the same recipe for years with a few alterations. It is called fettuccini Alfredo. I added a bit more garlic than asked for, but that is simply a matter of taste. Thanks for sharing. Definitely a keeper. Easily worth five stars.

Slow Cooker Lemon Garlic Chicken II

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2008
I give this recipe two stars for texture. The chicken was tender and moist. However, it was tasteless, watery, except for the rub applied on top. I love slow cooker dishes, this one was not a keeper. It is a good starter recipe, and therefore will keep in my recipe box.

Tender Italian Baked Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2008
The chicken was very moist and tender. We did however find, that it was a bit bland. It requires crushed garlic and not powder and perhaps a bit of basil and onion flavor. It is a great starter recipe and I will use the base coating again as it is this coating that makes the chicken moist and tender. Thank you for sharing

Southern Fried Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2008
Delicious. My mother made this recipe for years and I, along with my sisters continued the tradition. Now, my daughter-in-law uses the same recipe. The only difference is that we dip the chicken in eggs and milk first and then add garlic powder and onion salt to the flour. We prepare it and refrigerate on wax pappered pan for about one hour before frying. I also use canola oil instead of vegetable oil. Much healthier. Thanks for sharing.

Campbell's Baked Chicken and Broccoli

I have been making this recipe forever. I sometimes alternate the mushroom for cream of chicken soup. I also add garlic, onions and dash to the casserole and cook it at 325 for 2 hours. This chicken can also be served with egg noodles.

Chocolate Cookie Buttercream Frosting

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2008
This is a wonderful frosting. It needs more milk and I added enough to give me the consistency desired. Do not leave standing too long at room temperature as it will dry but if it happens, a few more drops of milk and whipping will give it back its texture. It is sweet and applies well. Thanks

Parmesan Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2008
I made this recipe last night and it was the best. I added dash and garlic powder to the bread crumb mix. I fried it for a bit and put in the oven with motzarella cheese for melting. I served it with pasta and ceasar's salad. It was a hit and I will make it again. Thanks for sharing
