Berry Cobbler
The most beautiful legumes ever!
Chocolate Pudding Cake II
A lovely fall day on the Atlantic Coast!
About this Cook
I'm from a small town in Indiana, but currently I'm living it Philly attending school at the University of Pennsylvania . I'm studying biology as a pre-med or pre-vet major. I love animals,so right now I'm leaning towards the idea of vet school :) I love the outdoors- backpacking, hiking, fishing, bird watching, or even just playing with the dogs!
My favorite things to cook
Italian- I LOVE pasta-based meals. Cookies, cakes, pies, or anything baked in general, baking is fabulous. Chicken any way- stir fried, baked, grilled, whatever, chicken is fabulous also. I honestly believe that you can never too much garlic in a recipe. The more the better!!
My cooking triumphs
I remember the very first thing I ever made entirely on my own, without any help from my mom: a German Chocolate Cake for a family Christmas get-together. I was probably about twelve and already quite the little chef from having spent much of my childhood in the kitchen with my mom. I remember measuring everything so precisely and checking the recipe over and over again. And my efforts were entirely worth it because the cake turned out beautifully and the whole family raved about it! It remains to this day, one of the proudest cooking moments of my life :)

Best of Everything Veggie Burgers
Great veg burger! The veggie-bean-spice flavors melded quite nicely. Alterations: I substituted corn for mushrooms and didn't use mozzarella or as much bread crumbs. My burgs needed to cook for a bit longer than was recommended. Served them on wheat buns with guac, lettuce, and salsa. I'll definitely make again. These were totally Tex-Mex, so I might try to change ingredients and toppings to make different "themed" veggie burgs: Italian (basil, oregano, thyme, sundried tomatoes, grated parm), Asian (soy, ginger, broccoli), Mediterranean (chickpeas, olives, garlic, oregano, feta) etc.

Heavenly Chocolate Mousse
Divine Mousse, but I wanted a REALLY rich thick dessert; this was quite light in texture. Next time I'll only whip a scant cup of cream to fold in to intensify the chocolatey-ness. I made dark chocolate bowls to scoop this into, drizzled raspberry sauce around and in the bowl, and sprinkled fresh raspberries. Beautiful, elegant, and decadent dessert.

Beer Margaritas
Awesome! I made them fozen: in a blender, with only 6oz of water, and ice to the top of the pitcher. The boyfriend and his roommates (beer and margarita FREAKS) were skeptical at first, but soon demanding more. :) We made the second batch with only half a can of limeade and about 2 cups of fresh strawberries. GREAT RECIPE/MARGS!!
