About this Cook
I am a 22 year old college student about to start my last semester. For my spring semester, I studied abroad in Lugano, Switzerland which is the Italian southern region. I traveled every weekend all over Europe and tasted every type of cuisine. After broadening my cultural horizons, I cannot wait to attempt the different recipes back in America. I eat healthily but always end the meal with a small dessert. I am all about "everything in moderation."
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake and make any type of dessert. My favorite food is ice cream but I haven't attempted to make it yet. I also like making italian foods, mainly because you can throw things together and experiment without messing up most recipes.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My family has a long family tree of italians, so I naturally put a ton of garlic in my meals.
My cooking triumphs
I was in charge of Thanksgiving dessert for my boyfriend's family and the pumpkin pie and chocolate cream pies were a hit!! I also have the ability to make my grandpa's past down spagetti sauce and meatball recipe from my memory.
My cooking tragedies
I tried this cake recipe from a "Chocolate Recipes" book and it called for only water. I was very confused as to why there was no oil and eggs, must have been a typo. Needless to say, the cake tasted horrible....

Chicken Spaghetti
Very good; I omitted the cheese to make it healthier and just sprinkled some parmesan when I ate it. Through in mushrooms and tomatoes too; you can really add anything in this.

Strawberries and Cream Bread Pudding
Soo good! Substituted nonfat milk for the cream; was a little watery so might decrease the milk next time. Also added 1/2 cup more strawberries.
