I have been married for almost 4 years now and I became a mom to my precious baby girl in August of 2008. I am still trying to make meals that my husband considers good food and that go along with our now single income budget.
My favorite things to cook
I like quick and easy meals that I can't mess up. I love comfort food, steak & potatoes, italian, and slow-cooking.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Thanksgiving and Christmas my whole family cooks together. Not at the same time though! That would be madness! My Dad always cooks the Turkey & gravy or Ham w/ glaze. My sister makes the apple & bacon stuffing, I make the bread and potatoes, and my mom does everything else. My youngest bro makes the salad and my other bro sets the table. Everyone helps out instead of just my mom doing everything.
My cooking triumphs
I made the best breakfast ever and I didn't burn anything! I made a frittata in the oven, bacon, country potatoes and biscuits. It was so good and a lot of fun to make. The best part was my hubby loved everything and was proud of his little wife.
My cooking tragedies
Too many to name, but I guess I will list one. I spent about four hours slaving over the stove to make beef and veggie soup. It took forever and ended up tasting like what I think wet dog food might taste like. I had a little cry because it was just another reciepe that my hubby hated. Josh did take me to dinner though.
