i learned to cook by necessity and demand. i learned to like it and enjoy it. i have several urges to come look up recipes here on allrecipes.com and bake something daily! cookies, cakes, desserts, pizza, trout, slow cooker dishes, snacks watching my mom bake dozens and dozens of cookies during the winter solstice. helping her by unwrapping hershey kisses and reese's cups and not popping any in my mouth! everyday is a cooking triumph! after i realized i caught a loaf of garlic bread on fire underneath the broiler, i still slid it back inside, not thinking. thankfully someone else was in the room to save my mindlessness. also, a bad burn from making hard candy!!!! (and just about everything else i've ever made!)
