I'm a wife, mother, grandmother and nurse. I love everything old, and live in a historical home in a logging community in the Cascades. Seasonal cooking using fresh produce from the farmers markets. We have no other family members living near us and I never wanted my children to grow up feeling holidays weren't special. I make traditional dishes for all holidays and always try to make it just as special as if we were entertaining a crowd. My children and husband think I'm a great cook! Peanut brittle that boiled over onto my new stove and stuck as hard as cement. Just the memory of that stuck mess makes me cringe.
