Chantal's New York Cheesecake

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2009
Not that this recipe needs anymore reviews haha. This was my first time ever making a cheesecake and it turned out perfect for the recipe. I didn't alter the ingredients at all. I didn't give it a water bath but put a pan of water on the shelf under the cheesecake to keep it moist. My cheesecake didn't crack at all =] As for taste, I have tasted better but this was pretty good. I like mine to be sweeter though, i'm not sure if the New York style is supposed to not be as sweet as cheesecakes i've had in the past. Thanks for the recipe.

I'm so happy I found this recipe on here. I made them last year and they were gone in under an hour, and I made a ton. They're really good, give them a try. Easy to make ;]

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2007
Not bad. I made it on the stove top. Cooked the chicken in the oven first while the rest of the stuff simmered while covered. Then added the chicken and cooked about 30 minutes on medium(let it come to it's own mild boil, don't rush it), took them out and shredded the chicken, added them back in, cooked a little while longer(does it really matter how long?). Added dashes of cumin, red pepper flakes, chili powder, and some hamburger seasoning I had. Served with crescent rolls, and of course the cheese, sour cream and crushed chips. Also, the diced tomatoes added in were chili ready, used fiesta canned corn. And used minced onion instead of the onion(heaping tablespoon). Plenty left over :)

Cool Whipped Frosting

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2007
This was pretty good. I could personally do without the vanilla extract. Here's what I did. In a medium bowl I mixed the vanilla pudding mix with 2 cold cups of milk, as the box on it said. I put that in the fridge for a few, the added the extract and then the whipped topping. I made 24 cupcakes and had *plenty* left over. So we took some double stuf oreo cookies and crushed them up in the mix, and we all ate it like a pudding. Yum.

Honey Mustard Grilled Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2007
It's grilling season, and this was great! My husband and I grilled ours on an old fashioned grill to really get that grilled flavor in there. We love A1 so that's the steak sauce we used, and doubled it. Grilled corn on the cob goes great with this recipe. We used the leftovers for sandwiches with sharp cheddar cheese, used the extra honey mustard sauce for the spread. Usdd some lettuce and tomato as well. Grilled that on our George Foreman. Great summer lunch!

Loved these, although I didn't care to dip them in the sour cream.

Southwest Stuffed Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2007
This was very good! Could have been more flavorful. The amount of cheese suggested just wans't enough for my husband or I. I did great rolling some up more than others, and thought the others would be terrible looking, but just use extra toothpicks and it kind of cooks together, if you get what I mean. I will make this again :)
