French Pastry Pie Crust
I adore this pie crust recipes - its the only one I use for desserts. Its very easy to make (I always use my food processor) and very easy to work with. And on top of that tastes delicious. Its a keeper for sure. For someone stepping out into the world of homemade crusts I highly highly suggest this one.

Strawberry Pie II
I made this pie to use up fresh picked strawberries. I should have read more reviews, I would have learned not to mash half and leave half whole, there were far too few whole strawberries. I also could not for the life of me get the thing to set. It had an entire day to chill and was almost fully liquid. Next time I will use gelatin instead of corn starch and I won't mash nearly as many of the berries. That being said, the flavor was very good, but the over all "pie" did not work.

Butter Flaky Pie Crust
I wanted to make a pie but had no shortening on hand for the crust. I found this recipe and was excited to try it out for my strawberry pie. The flavor was excellent but the consistency was very very dense and thick, not flakey. This could very well be from my own mistake (maybe I overworked the dough? I didn't think I did). The flavor was yummy and matched my strawberry pie well but I couldn't get over the texture.
