I am a newly wed mother of two, a two year old boy and an eleven month old labrador! I enjoy spending time in the kitchen and cooking new and interesting dishes. From snacks to main course meals, I try to perfect anything I cook. You can usually find me online at AllRecipes or at Williams Sonoma or Sur La Table, learning about the newest kitchen gadgets and must haves. My son is a very pickey eater, so new things are great for him that include noodles and healthy eating. My husband is also a pickey eater and was used to my chicken every night meals that ranged from spaghetti to casseroles, but no more! He has had "the best eating" since we have been married with our new Calphalon cook ware and huge variety of kitcken utencils, I'll whip him up almost anything! Dinner parties are usually going on in this house as well, so new hors d'ouvres, cocktails and desserts are always put into my recipe box ~ so keep adding chefs, they are much appreciated!
My favorite things to cook
Grilled anything, salads and pasta dishes, sweet ANYTHING!
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mom made a chicken tater tot casserole that is absolutely to die for, easy and tastey!! I would savor every bite and be the last one at the table!
My cooking triumphs
I havn't done much other than feed the family here. Got my first compliment as a daughter in law, when my In Laws came to dinner about two weeks after we were married and made pork chops and dill potatoes and WOWed them!!
My cooking tragedies
HA!! LOL ~ I tried to make my mother's Broccoli Cheese Casserole for Thanksgiving one year and the rice wasn't cooked thouroughly. Well, I didn't know that and everyone (About 10 family members and my boyfriend at the time!)was eating and "mmmm, this is good". I took a bite and realized it was terrible and was so embarassed!! Now its a big joke at the holidays, "Did you bring the casserole?!"
