Chuck's Favorite Mac and Cheese

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2009
I love this! In chicago there is a restaurant called Stanley's that has the BEST mac n cheese! This recipe comes very close to it. No need to travel when the craving strikes! Thanks!!!

Spanish Flan

Let me just say-I don't like flan. I was making for a cooking club-spanish theme and I got desert. But OH MY, this was tasty!

Overnight Caramel Pecan Rolls

Made exactly as directed. Easier than expected. I was able to freeze half of the uncut dough wrapped in wax paper. Tip for sticky pans" line with parchement paper beforehand.

Black Beans and Pork Chops

SO easy!!!!! I too put in crock pot-low for 5 hours. My only addition was to sprinkle chops with cumin and garlic and brown before putting in crock pot.

Sour Cream Pound Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2009
This beats every pound cake I've had or made so far! Though I discovered when I re-read the recipe that I used double the butter called for. Not healthy, but very delicious!

Baked Potato Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2008
I gave this four stars because I made just a few tiny tweaks. Dill instead of basil, 1/2 tsp of cayenne pepper instead of hot sauce. I left ALL the drippings in the pan from the bacon. I also still needed to increase the salt by about 1/2 tsp. Also I didn't have cream or half and half on hand. I substituted 2% milk and it was still plenty creamy. I loved that this recipe used REAL potatoes not instant flakes like a ton of other recipes on this site. If I wanted chemical flavored potato soup I would just get that "tastefully simple" garbage. This recipe was way easy too. Potatos MUST be baked before adding to the pot!
