Ye Ole Gingerbread
I found Lyle's Golden Syrup in the syrup aisle of QFC (grocery store chain in my region). I made this for dipping into chocolate fondue at a Xmas party. Major YUM!!! If serving for company, bake the day of; your house will smell terrific for hours! A holiday keeper for my household.

Busy Day Barbeque Brisket
Beef was tender but salty. Might try my own barbecue rub next time.

Kalua Pig in a Slow Cooker
OMG, the best slow cook recipe I've tried! I followed es' (11/07 post) cooking instructions with a 2 lb pork shoulder using red sea salt that I found at Whole Foods (inexplicably in a display by dairy) and Stubbs' Hickory Liquid Smoke. After 5 hours of cooking, I sliced into small strips (wasn't sure how to shred and didn't have the time) and put back in the crock and juices for another hour. Tender, juicy, flavorful, melt in your mouth, great on rice...yeah baby!
