About this Cook
I stay home with my 3 kids(13,6 and 4). My husband is always telling me to try new things so gradually I am getting better and more comfortable in cooking.
My cooking triumphs
learning how to use a grill : )
My cooking tragedies
fathers day last year I decided to have my parents and my brother and his family over for dinner. I was goona grill my special gourmet burgers. At this time my grilling experience was limited to a few times and only cooking for at the most 5 people. I was feeling confident and wanted to do something nice for all. Everything was going great and about half way into it all of a sudden everything caught on fire. I was away from the grill tending to my side dishes and didn't know it right away. I open the lid and everything was torched... most of it beyond saving. I immediately broke down in tears as they ate it anyway and tried to make me feel better.

Savory Chicken Sandwiches
WOW!!! I didn't have time to put these in the crockpot so I boiled the chicken in chicken stock with poultry seasoning until done. Then I put all ingredients in the crockpot on low for 2.5 hours to heat. The only things I did different was use chicken broth instead of water and fresh garlic instead of garlic salt since using chicken broth I didn't feel it needed anymore salt. These were fantastic and I definately will make again.

Sausage Jalapeno Poppers
WOW!!! I make a version of these on the grill but these are by far our favorite!!! I did not change anything to the recipe however I did make these on 3 different occassions in the last week and found the following to be helpful. they take about 10 minutes longer for the bacon to be done and crispy but the extra cook time makes the jalapenos literally fall apart so the second time we broiled them for a few minutes at the end instead of cooking them longer. next time we are gonna use a whole piece of bacon for each to "seal them in" and grilput em on the grill
