i'm a meat eater but i've always loved veggie burgers. finally i got around to trying to make them at home and i used this recipe with minor changes:
i used 2 cans of beans, 1 cup of bread crumbs, 2 whole eggs, some celery, and less of the spices [omitted the hot sauce, and used 2 t. of the other two; i used super spicy chili powder and it was caliente as is!]. to add to the final product, and to compliment the spicyness of the burgers, i whipped up an avocado-ranch spread [mashed a half of an avocado, mixed in about a T. of ranch and 1/2 t. of sour cream]. with a slice of provolone, the avo-ranch spread, and a wheat bun, these are SUPERB! i suprised my veggie-burger-skeptic of a mom with these and we're both hooked!
