This tastes just something I used to buy in Philadelphia. I have made these numerous times and always get raves for them. I gave one to my grouchy UPS man, and he is now unbelievably friendly. A real hit!

What to do with a million pounds of leftover ham?? This was great. Everyone loved it, even my picky 7 year old. I added peas and used Velveeta. Might try adding bread crumbs or crushed crackers on top next time.

I have missed the Philly "staple" of Tastykakes, and especially Peanut Butter Tandytakes, ever since I moved out of the region. Had a recipe for this that was vaguely written. Was thrilled to find this easy to follow recipe on the web. Made them for a party and they were an instant hit.
